I’m thinking I might be a bit late for this, but I’ll still start it nonetheless.

I decided to do a recap of sorts of the past month, presenting it through words and photos. This would mean, though, that I’ll have to try to take at least one photo a day of whatever is happening around me. Since summer is very close by, this shouldn’t be a problem. The challenge is time, but having no time should never be an excuse. The goal for this isn’t clear yet, but if I do it on a regular basis, something will start to form. For now, the purpose is to share.

May was quite a busy month on many fronts. From changes at work to project-planning, it was never uneventful. There were quite a few highlights. One of them was a UGC project for Father’s Day. I had to do some on-person photos and product photos that can be used on the website and/or Instagram. It was really exciting to do as I haven’t done these kind of things, let alone for a company as big as Coach. *Full disclosure: I do work for Coach.* One photo is already posted on the website, and the rest will be coming out on my Instagram feed. Watch out for it!

During the month, as well, our store partnered with My Sister’s Closet by gathering donations of clothes, bags, and shoes. My Sister's Closet is a social enterprise of Battered Women's Support Services (BWSS). As advocates of zero waste, eco-fashion and the thrift movement, we enable all genders to access beautiful new and second-hand clothing and locally made artisan creations by women. 100 percent of revenue generated from sales help fund the violence prevention and intervention services and programs operated by BWSS, supporting more than 18,000 requests we receive annually.

I also did another shoot with my friend, Mackenzie during the last week of May, featuring some new styles plus the Pride collection. It was really fun to do, especially when we were photographing the Pride bags. Her mom also came along with us, which was a very good bonding moment.

Here are some of the highlight photos from May! How did you do last month? Was there anything exciting to share? Let me know! Have a great June!!!

Bonne journée!
J.
